I visited this park by accident on a road-trip to California 1988. All at once I seem to be in an alternative universe a place that looked like it had been hit with an A-Bomb and every thing had been turned to sand, but it was beautiful, mile after mile as far as the eye could see, Occasionally a fox or a prong horn but not much life at all.
Just uploaded my own video to try to send traffic your way, it’s such a beautiful place!
This is native place of my wife
I visited this state park many times when I was younger and lived in Odessa. Watching the video reminded me of great times sand surfing the dunes. I must plan a visit again very soon.
Loved the video. Brought back some memories and good times. Hard Labor Creek State Park is where we like to escape to.
Very nice video. We stayed at Hard Labor Creek years ago. Have recently enjoyed Amicalola Falls and FDR State Parks. Georgia has awesome state parks and travel facilities!
Hey, that’s my dad, Richard. He is now retired and lives off the park a couple miles away. He still works parttime for DNR at various parks in Georgia, mostly fill in work where they are missing personell.
You missed the Oreo cow farm between I-20 and Rutledge. pretty neat!
