Swimming is now allowed in Onion Creek; call (512) 243-1643 for current creek conditions.

Can you swim there now? When I visited in the early-mid 80s there was no swimming because of a sewage leak upstream.

McKinney Falls is a nice area – I went hiking there in June. I wish the trails were better marked along the Lower Falls trail. Despite following the paths, I ended up behind TPWD headquarters despite having a park map with me.
