Let’s talk real here. This is … Is. Not was! Indian land. And we still exist. And guess what mexicans are native decent. In 1871 Mexican had a bounty for there scalps. Because to be Mexican meant u were at least 1/4 Indian. So now people know how we feel when we r told we can’t visit our sacred homelands and villages where r living relatives were born!!!! Yes we hav living relatives who were born in most of our state parks. Because the parks are where our villages are.

  4. MVapor5 says:

What a fag dude just in case if you didn’t know even illegal immigrants pay taxes you fucking hypocrite how’s about if someone was to shoot your fucking bitch ass the your family would’ve been sad, how do you think their family would feel if that person would’ve got shot and killed their family would have the same feelings your family would of had if you would of gotten killed by a gun shot man, man you’re a fucking bitch

  5. suzarb39 says:

We have no money in the state because we fund all the illegal`s, food, health care education and housing. Most of them if not all have several ID`s and use them to ge more money thus killing the US and Calif even more. Send them back and shoot to kill if they cross.

  9. Barry Trute says:

Californian’s have a chance to provide sustainable funding for the 278 California State Parks. Support Proposition 21 in November. $18 is cheap!

  11. Ebiczebulanious says:

I hope all you Democrats are proud of this accomplishment. So keep up the spending and maybe we will close Sacramento.

  12. Oxblood1 says:

See what happens when you decide you want everything for free? Is it any wonder people with real ambition and drive are leaving California for State’s that do not cater to the demands of the left? Stop giving free educations and health care to illegals, lower taxes, reduce social programs and you might, just might be able to weather the storm.

  13. MadEclectic says:

Hey, ya can’t have open borders AND open parks! California (and the rest of the US) has made its choice, much to my dismay. Anybody want a burrito?

  14. Thaddeus M says:

I’m from Connecticut and the same thing happened there. There was land willed to the state for use as parks which have closed also. The bizarre thing is they don’t have rangers collecting money at the boat launches. The canned the guys due to cut backs. So they lose out on all the launch fees cuz they fired someone. Do the math.
The polititians are penny pinching but losing out on dollars. It’s a sad world!

  15. smilemediagroup says:

YEAH! THE FRIGGIN HORSE BOLTED! AND I AS A SCOT’S TOURIST AM COMPLETELY SHOCKED AT THIS CAN HAPPEN , BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT THE POLITIVAL AGENDA IS OR THE REPLACEMENT OF DOING SUCH AN ACT OF DESTRUCTION ON FOREST’S …GET UOP YOU GUY’S AND DO SOMETHING! THEY HAVE A SAYING IN THE UK! BRITAIN “N,I,M,B,Y!” not in my back yard! ??

  16. naturebobby says:

Schmangy- some of the state parks are staff by volunteers that do not get paid anything. At Carpinteria State Beach the kiosk people were volunteers the garderner had done that for 20 years without getting paid. And the custodian for the restrooms did it for free. Some others are the same way. Those that have paid staff are outright lying to make their cause look big and them being the complainers overlooked. All may be shut down if the legislators and the governor believe them.

  17. mchugha says:

My family spends a lot of time at San Simeon. That’s really sad if it’s closing. They go to Hurst castle………wow………bullshit.

  18. nagaempress says:

Then please update and rerelease your information so that people will concentrate on those that are still threatened

  19. Cathy Gregg says:

It’s not over. As of September 1, 2009 about 100 of California’s State Parks will be closed. There are 220 State Parks so that makes for almost half of our State Parks. Gov. Schwarzeneggar signed the budget last month to allow this to happen. They have not provided a list of which parks will be closed, but it will be a sad time for California and the rest of the world. These parks are important to California and its tourism.

  20. MailManFan28 says:

Dude, You seriously need to remove this video if the deadline is in 2008…it’s out dated. (I’m just saying…….)

  21. Patrick Binder says:

Hey, I didn’t say anything about that. But since you took up arms I’ll respond.

    1) Its demand economics. Just because you want to be a ranger doesn’t mean we should supply you with a job.

    2) I wish the best of luck to you and hope that if you become a ranger you replace at least 5 asshole rangers and don’t become an asshole ranger yourself.

  22. MiamiIndianTribe says:

what about those people that want to be a ranger- asshole

  23. Patrick Binder says:

Umm, I go to these parks and I would not mind if they fire some rangers. I go to Picacho and those rangers are useless, I was just at William Ide’s Adobe home, its a public park with a beautiful view, it doesn’t need a ranger but volunteers to run the visitor center and give 10 minute tours. There are VERY few state parks that NEED a ranger. Most should have management companies taking care of the maintenance and that is all. Torrey Pines state beach is full of useless rangers too.

  24. mmmmmarcus says:

Yes, but here’s the problem. Our funds are backed by CREDIT. They dont even have substance behind them.

The federal reserve, IS the root cause of it all! Where do we get our money from? Our country is in debt to a bunch of crazy whackjobs overseas. This is why we dont have money. We kept borrowing and borrowing and borrowing, and now we are in what i last read as 3 trillion dollars in debt! You are in for one hell of a rude awakening.

You should watch some ron paul clips.

  25. seekingworldlywisdom says:

UNION should be set illegal, and government employees do not get defined pension is the only way to save California and America. Defined pension is an entitlement to people that is lucky to get a job in government UNION act like mafia to make sure this won’t go away. 60%+ of the budget goes to pay salary and pension of public employees, in private sector when times are bad u layoff to survive, but u can’t do it in government – why? —-The UNION, they can strike. Who suffer – Everybody.
