    Richard Marshall,  President

• North Country native, extremely busy family man with wife and 3 children
• Teacher of   Biology, Earth Science & Environmental Science since 1988
• Honors research in association with the University of Vermont
• High School Environmental Club advisor

    Ty Danboise, Vice President

• Husband and father of 2 teenagers, NYS certified in Elementary Education
• Artist and owner of Windance hand-dyed clothing for over 16 years
• Over a decade of experience as a Volunteer Environmental Educator
• Life-long outdoor enthusiast, mt. bike racing, running & cross-country skiing

    Miriam Morrow, Secretary

• Busy wife, mother of 2 and grandmother of 3 boys
• Retired elementary school teacher of  25 years
• Loves the outdoors especially gardening, camping and traveling
• Born and raised in Brooklyn and Long Island but left the city to enjoy small town living and the fresh air

    Wanda Hawkins, Treasurer

• Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who firmly believes in the needed connection between nature and the individual, on as many levels as possible
• Notary Public with over 50 years experience in the business world, dealing with most every facet of operation possible
• Over 40 years experience in the business of Civil, Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering

   William Sommerfield, Past President

• North Country native, has always loved the outdoors,canoeing, hiking and hunting
• Working on a Master of Education while teaching high school science
• Retired chemist for ALCOA
• Past scout leader - taught many children to build their own canoes

• Park Manager of Robert Moses and Coles Creek State Parks
• Over 15 years of experience in the NYS Park system
• Avid outdoorsman; enjoys year-round fishing, hiking & dogs

    Robert Simpson, Trustee

• Civil Engineering Technologist
• Family oriented with 2 children, Canadian citizen who has moved 9 times, with the last one being Massena, NY
• Enjoys traveling & the outdoors: hiking, skiing, kayaking, snowshoeing & fishing
• Active volunteer in the Friends, Lions, Optimists and the Scouts previously

    Barb Simpson, Trustee

• Pre-School Teacher education and background
• Mother of two, Grandmother of two
• Enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking and quilting
• Active volunteer in Friends, previously in scouts and more

    Mark Berninghausen, Trustee

• Busy family man with a wife and 3 children who love the outdoors
• Owner and operator of Squeak Creek Apiaries for over 15 years
• NYS Apiary Inspector
• He and wife previously enjoyed working at Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia

    Mike Fregoe, Trustee

• North Country native who loves the outdoors & promoting a respect for it
• Husband and father of three children
• For years ( including 2 as a Boy Scout Leader) has enjoyed charting nature treks using topographic maps & recently began using GPS technology
• Work background in construction and trucking. Presently working at General Motors Powertrain
