Northern Star Quilters

The Quilting Club meets at the Nature Center twice a month. On the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, the Nature Center classroom is open to the quilting club from 10am – 2pm. Quilters come with their machines and projects, ready to share tips and techniques. They stay as long as they wish and often have a ''show and tell'' during lunch.

During 2003 & 2004, the Nature Center offered many classes on assorted quilts. Many participants made over 7 quilts in 2004 alone! Following that, the majority of quilters decided it was only appropriate to organize a quilting club. As of January 2005, the club now has 22 members. Quilters of all abilities and experience make up this club, from the beginner to award winning.

As the club matures, projects and ideas are sure to expand. Join us sometime to work on an unfinished project or start something new. A newsletter is mailed every quarter to members, featuring upcoming quilt shows in the area, links to quilting websites and more. Membership fees are just $10.
